Reduced Service:
At the end of July, CTE Director, Ruth Harris-Barnett left the University. For over five years, Ruth led the Center for Teaching Excellence, consulting with individual staff, arranging events such as TA Orientations and the Teaching & Learning Symposia, and providing valuable insight for instructors via CTE’s Mid-Quarter Feedback program.
A search is underway for a new director. CTE (now CTL) programs such as Teaching Awards and Electronic Mid-Quarter Analysis of Teaching (EMAT) will continue throughout the search process. Individual consultations, workshops and symposiums, and Faculty Focus will return when a new CTL Director is hired. Please contact the Center at ctl@ucsc.edu for further information.
