Offering a course for the first time?  CTE offers the Instructor's Course Assessment (ICA) form for self-assessment.

This form should be used after the course's first offering and then updated to reflect the lessons learned from each subsequent offering.

Both the Committee on Academic Personnel (CAP) Chair and the Executive Vice Chancellor in 1993-94 supported the ICA as a voluntary measure to document a faculty member's teaching.

The process of contemplating responses to the ICA's queries allows instructors to delve into their own conceptions of the course design and examine candidly its pedagogical execution.
