Teaching Observations

During a Teaching Observation, a staff member from CTE attends your class and notes all aspects of the student/instructor interaction. The focus is on instructional behaviors which are recorded objectively and without judgment. A confidential discussion of the observation follows, where you'll receive support in identifying alternative approaches you may want to explore.

To schedule a teaching observation, email the following information to cte@ucsc.edu:

1. Name
2. Phone number
3. UCSC affiliation: Faculty/Lecturer/TA?
4. Course number and title
5. Classroom building and number
6. Date and time
