This practical sourcebook is an excellent introduction to collaborative learning. The first 90 or so pages give general guidance on implementing collaborative learning. The remaining 175 pages are a compilation of specific collaborative learning activities for a variety of instructional settings, from discussion to problem-solving to writing. Each activity description includes a discussion of the activity’s purpose, how to prepare, examples, advice from veteran instructors, and variations (including some online implementaitons).
