Addressing Disruptive Students in the Classroom

From time to time instructors have a truly disruptive student in the classroom, making it difficult or impossible for teaching and learning to take place. The Student Affairs Division provides this set of guidelines to assist instructors in dealing with these situations from a student discipline perspective.

The Ombudsman's Office is a confidential and impartial resource available to all members of the campus community. The Ombudsman's Office assists students, staff, and faculty in achieving informal resolution of complaints and conflicts which stem from UCSC policies, procedures, practices, and intra-campus relationships.
