An organization of staff, faculty and students who volunteer their time to organize workshops, events, and services to promote academic success among UCSC students.

Learning Center
The Learning Center, located at the Academic Resource Center (old Student Center), provides a variety of learning support services. It functions as a referral service to direct students to learning assistance programs including Academic Success courses, Modified Supplemental Instruction (MSI), tutoring, and study tables.

STARS - Services for Transfer and Re-Entry Students
An umbrella organization including both Transfer and Re-Entry Services, STARS participates in the Coalition for Student Academic Success (CSAS), which offers an ongoing series of workshops for students. STARS has a team of tutors to assist re-entry and transfer students who need help in some upper-division and many lower-division courses.
The STARS main office is located in the ARCenter with a satellite office at the entrance to Kresge College.
