Getting Started at UCSC

CruzMail and UCSC identity account information

1. To sign up for your UCSC identity account first login to the MyUCSC Student Portal and then follow the link in the upper left to activate your email account/UCSC identity. If you do not see this link or are having trouble, please contact the ITS Service Center at 459-HELP or help@ucsc.edu. Read more information about UCSC identity accounts.
2. Go to https://cruzmail.ucsc.edu to read email.
3. More information about CruzMail.
4. Change your UCSC identity account password.

• CruzNet (the wireless network) is available at many campus locations. View more information about CruzNet.
• Student Portal - one-stop access to: class registration, evaluations, transfer credit, change of address, calendar, news, etc.

• Prevent computer worms and viruses. Students must patch personally-owned Windows computers before connecting them to the network. Vulnerable or infected computers will be disconnected from the network. Read more information about security.
