The following tables reflect the total number of items that are available to users. Instructor and consultant workstation equipment is not included in the totals, but is noted separately in the tables.
Our labs are periodically upgraded during the summer. Each lab's hardware is on a three-year replacement cycle.
All labs have 17-inch or lager LCD flat panel displays and headphone jacks.
During the 2007-2008 academic year, ZIP drives and floppy drives will be phased out of all labs.
In each unstaffed lab, one designated student workstation has a ZIP drive. In staffed labs, see the consultant on duty for assistance for ZIP disk media. Every instructor workstation has a ZIP drive.
In all Mac and PC labs except Cowell Apartments and Oakes, external USB floppy drives are attached to several student workstations, and every instructor and consultant workstation if present. Cowell Apartments and Oakes PC labs have internal floppy drives.
