Computer Labs - Locations - Cowell Apartment Lab
DescriptionThe Cowell Apartment lab is Instructional Computing's newest lab and is located at the newly-built Cowell Infill Apartments, near the entrance across from the Bookstore. This lab has both Macs and PCs available. It's conveniently and centrally located near the Bookstore and open 24 hours a day, which makes it ideal for walk-in use, checking email, printing papers and web research. An "express station" can be used for up to 15 minutes per visit to quickly print a paper or look up information. The Adaptive Technology Room is inside the Cowell Apartment computer lab through a door opposite the entrance. It has special voice recognition software and other hardware that is used by students with disabilities. In addition computer number CA-PC-19 has Kurzweil software installed, intended for use when the ATR is occupied. If you have a disability and will require adaptive technology to use this lab, please contact the Disability Resource Center right away so that they can make arrangements to assess your adaptive technology needs and coordinate services for you with the Instructional Computing staff. You can reach the Disability Resource Center at: 831-459-2089 (voice) PrintingBy default when you tell a lab computer to print it will simply come out of the printer and $0.12/page will be automatically charged to your university bill -- no print card is needed. Student accounts are enabled to print bill by default. Faculty and staff can enable their account for billing by filling out a simple web form.
