Faculty Instructional Technology Center (FITC)

Services

The FITC has extensive, faculty-specific help resources available. FITC student employees are available to provide basic consulting during their posted schedule or by appointment. Online tutorials covering many popular lab tasks are also accessible from the FITC lab.

We also provide four hours per quarter of free technical assistance per instructor. If you need more than four hours of assistance per quarter, we can arrange for a recharge of the additional hours. You can also get assistance while in the FITC lab through our other faculty support services (see Related Services box).

This service is available for:

  • Faculty
  • Instructors
  • Teaching assistants (limited to specific course work)

Using the Lab

You also can use the Faculty Instructional Technology Center (FITC) lab on your own. This exclusive faculty computer lab has software, hardware, and staff support to enable the creation and development of multimedia course materials. The FITC lab is available to instructors and their designates (TAs, etc) on a drop-in basis during normal business hours. Twenty-four hour access is available on request via assigned door codes.
