County Museum's web site on Islamic Art.
Detroit Institute of Art's web page on Islamic Art. IslamiCity web site on Islamic culture from the past and today. Flashy site. Lots of links for art. Mostly language resources, but scroll to bottom for art links.

Contemporary Muslim Artists Sites


Even though our course does not deal with contemporary Islamic art--or art in dialogue with the Islamic tradition--you are invited to do your research papers on contemporary or modern artists or architects. Keep in mind some of the research challenges you might encounter by taking on such a topic. These links provide some initial ideas.
