FIELD TRIPS
OCEA-01 Spring, 2008
The second required field trip is:
UCSC LONG MARINE LAB, SEYMOUR CENTER

This is a self-guided field trip.
You can go at any time you wish- the assignment is due in-Class Monday June 2 (week 10).
TIMING AND TRANSPORTATION
The Seymour center is CLOSED on Mondays! (Including memorial day, 26-May).
It is open Tues- Sat, 10AM- 5pm, and Sundays Noon- 5pm
GETTING THERE:
The center if very close to Natural Bridges State Beach where we did our last field trip. Options for getting there are similar (bike, car, bus);
except that there are also campus shuttles that run to Long Lab on a regular basis.

Natural Bridges- Coast and TidePools-
This is a required field
trip on the weekend after week 7. You can go on EITHER:
MEET in OVERLOOK PARKING LOT AT NATURAL BRIDGES STATE BEACH
FIELD TRIP WILL LAST ~ 4 hours
It is NOT possible to do it independently at another time.
Note: if for any reason you have conflicts which would prevent you from making these field trips time-windows, please consider taking this class a different quarter. They cannot be made up.
